Hello

I am Susan Jablonski, and I'm glad you're here! I appreciate the strength, time, and consideration it takes to find the right fit in a psychiatric provider. I am a nationally board-certified psychiatric mental health and family nurse practitioner. I have 19 years of experience as a provider in psychiatry, neurology, and cardiology. I have witnessed the effects of persistent mood and anxiety struggles that can quickly result in a decline of overall mental-physical wellness. I have seen many suffer in silence and have never sought help before. I know it can be uncomfortable to reach for a hand, and I respect the inner strength it takes to take the first step to interact with a mental health provider. I would love to hear more about your concerns, especially anxiety and depression symptoms, and help you work towards improving your quality of life!

My Approach to Providing Care

My professional perspective is client-centered, focusing on overall well-being. I value your thoughts and concerns and what you would like to see improve in your wellness. I commonly work with older teenagers and adults of all ages and enjoy teaming with individuals just starting their mental healthcare journey or wanting to change their current psychiatric treatment plan. At our first meeting, I would like to hear about your mental health concerns, your journey to this point, and your self-identified target symptoms, which will always be prioritized. We will discuss diagnosis and treatment options, formalize a plan together, and discuss what to expect in symptom improvement. It will be an honor to have the opportunity to team with you.

My Journey to Psychiatry

As a long-time medical nurse practitioner in cardiology and neurology, I found people suffering from ongoing physical symptoms that were not alleviated by medical treatment alone. They continued to struggle and did not have real answers for their symptoms.  By listening and clarifying symptoms with clients, exploring the possibility of other diagnosis, mental health conditions came into view for some. With the initiation of appropriate mental health treatment, symptoms decreased, life improved, and true restoration began. This led to my full-time focus on mental health care and becoming a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner.  Now, as a psychiatric nurse practitioner, I am inspired by witnessing people finding a sense of peace in their lives, which correlates with improvement in their quality of life.  It has been breathtaking to be a part of.
